Loosely Woven goes 'On the road' out west . . .

Loosely Woven is a community based group of people who put together and perform three brand new shows each year. Loosely Woven is for all intents and purposes Humph Hall's resident ensemble as it was to provide it with a rehearsal and performance space that Humph Hall was established in the first place!

During the years 2007-2009, Loosely Woven took a concert up north performing with local musicians in places like Talarm, Bowraville, Grafton, Yamba, Dorrigo, Armidale and Dungog.

In 2011 they took a concert out west to Blackheath, Bathurst, Orange and Dubbo preceded by a couple of performances in Sydney including one in Humph Hall.

In 2012 they are going 'on the road' again this time visiting Blackheath, Bathurst, Goulburn & Canberra.

Once again, the Sydney performers will be joined on occasions by members of two Blue Mountains choirs, The Mudlarks (based in Lawson) and The Heathens (based in Blackheath).

See the 'On the road' web site for details of other performances.

There will be thirty to fifty five instrumentalists and singers performing in this concert. Instruments will include: violins, cello, harp, clarinets, saxophones, flutes, guitars, mandolin, accordion, concertina, keyboard & percussion.

The program opens with Kev Carmody's thrilling song 'Freedom' (which will knock your socks off, by the way, so don't be late!) and will include a couple of original songs as well as the usual eclectic Loosely Woven mix ranging from Ted Egan's powerful 'A Bunch of Damned Whores' to Kate Fagan's beautiful 'Roll You Sweet Rain' to 'Summertime' to 'Big Spender' to the rock 'n roll classic hit 'At the Hop', the moving gospel song 'Jacob's Ladder' and many more! concerts.
