New York Public Library + Sarah & Margie

John Flannigan (“Flano”), Warren Boyd and Isabelle Fogarty are the New York Public Library, a lively, popular, and thoroughly entertaining trio who have been an icon of the Sydney folk scene for years, having begun their career at the original Shack in Narrabeen.

They play a variety of music including originals, folk, comedic and something they call “adapted bluegrass”.

Sarah Fogarty & Margie Salem have been singing and playing guitar together for the last 30 years, since they were little girls growing up on the Northern Beaches of Sydney.

Regular performers at The Shack, and at various Folk Clubs, they combine intricate harmonies with delicate guitar accompaniment.

Singing a combination of original, traditional and contemporary songs Sarah & Margie delight audiences with their unique arrangements.

Bass player, David Armitage has become a regular feature in performances since 2010. His lyrical playing on a beautiful hand-made instrument adding depth and balance to the repertoire.
