Les Barker

7pm, Wed 7th April 2010
Humph Hall
85 Allambie Road,
Allambie Heights

On Wednesday 7th April 2010, Humph Hall rocked with laughter as we listened to Les Barker from the United Kingdom, undoubtedly one of the world's funniest men!

Les has been one of the featured international artists at the National Folk Festival in Canberra on a number of occasions over the years.

“This man is a genuine genius of comic rhyme who appeals to people of all ages. I have seen him reduce a whole marquee of festival goers to a mass of helpless laughter & aching sides!"

Les's poems come with titles like: 'Cosmo, the almost accurate knife thrower', and 'The Armadillo who fell in love with a concertina' and 'Dachshunds with Erections Can't Climb Stairs!'

The support act was 'Tea for Three' consisting of Tully & Matt Dingle with Nicole Elliott. Those who attended the 'Live from Humph Hall' concert will remember how these three young musicians stunned everyone with their rendering of Tully's hauntingly beautiful, 'The Fleeting Song'.
