Kristina Olsen (US)

N.B. Due to the threat of an injunction this concert has been relocated to St Davids Church, Dee Why.

She's coming back!

Kristina Olsen is unquestionably one of the finest and most entertaining songwriters and performers travelling the world stage today. Prior to her coming to Humph Hall in 2010 my experiences of her had been as part of incredibly enthusiastic capacity crowds at The National Folk Festival in Canberra. It was predictably fabulous experiencing an entire concert with her in the intimate atmosphere of Humph Hall.

On Anzac Day afternoon you will have the opportunity of experiencing the magic that is Kristina Olsen once again here in Humph Hall. But get your booking in early otherwise you'll miss out!

“It is indeed a rare occurrence to be so completely captivated for an entire concert by one person and a guitar, but American singer/songwriter Kristina Olsen certainly managed this and more, delivering a highly entertaining show to a capacity audience for over two hours.” (Patrick Shepherd)

For her appearance in Humph Hall, Kristina will once again be performing with the renowned cellist Anatoli Torjinski.

Anatoli Torninski

Kristina Olsen

“She tells stories of trekking through Alaska on snowmobiles to gigs or of dancing with a drunk, and then sings everything from sweet, passionate piano ballads to rollicking folk-rock or growling, raucous blues. For Olslen, the message is personal and delivered with fire . . . finely crafted songs . . . Her blues style, like that of many great blues singers, is rife with sexy overtones.” (Stephen Ide)

Entry by donation ($25/$15).

Early bookings are strongly advised. Her 2010 Humph Hall concert booked out a week in advance!!
