Many events in Humph Hall are free. However, at times there are 'house concerts' and/or workshops featuring professional musicians (Australian & international) who make their living by performing. On these occasions, those attending will be asked to contribute a modest donation according to their means (e.g. $20/$15).

On Saturday 20th March, Humph Hall hosted a vocal workshop and concert presented by Frankie Armstrong from the United Kingdom.

Frankie is renowned throughout the world for both her amazing voice and her skills as a teacher and on 20th March we had the opportunity to experience both right here in Humph Hall!

“You’d be hard-pressed to find a singer on the British folk scene with a voice as powerful, versatile and expressive . . . she has the remarkable ability to vividly convey the imagery of a song, capture and project its every nuance, its every dramatic detail, and perfectly exploit the natural tensions of lyric and melody, always giving the words the space to breathe.” (Keith Hudson - Wales)

The workshop was designed to be suitable for experienced and beginner singers alike.

Support act for the evening concert was the Sydney trio Three's Company which is comprised of Christina Mimmocchi (Blindman's Holiday, Touchwood), Tom Bridges (Spooky Men's Chorale) & Belinda Bennett.

Entry by donation.
