Folklore

Folklore brings together four fine musicians:

Cliona Molins (Jiggery - Para celtic harp)
Fiona McVicar (Jiggery - fiddle, viola, bouzouki)
Anthony Woolcott (Triantan - bodhran)
Rosie McDonald (Mothers of Intention and RAPT - guitar, bouzouki)

Come and experience Folklore in rare acoustic mode. Fresh from gigs at The Turning Wave Celtic festival, they have a wealth of material to offer.

Folklore are all well respected in the folk music scene & together they explore the songs & tunes of the tradition making them as relevant now as ever.

Sensitive and energising arrangements and exquisite instrumentation along with sweet four part harmonies, make Folklore a must-see.

Prepare to be transported.

"The ensemble delves into the Folkloric canon but with an original and innovative bent. They also present some wonderful Celtic harp pieces and rousing fiddle sets."

Folklore

"They have respect for the old ballads, and with two of the most beautiful voices on any folk programme, they have no need for dance beats, or other trickery to please their listeners."
