Loosely Woven is a community based group of people who put together and perform three brand new shows each year. 'Balance' is the second of these for 2010.

The name of the concert came from the fabulous Bruce Watson song which reminds us that "for every act of terror, there's a thousand acts of kindness!". Also included was John McCutcheon's powerful ballad 'Christmas in the trenches' which tells the story of the 1914 Christmas Truce between the British and German lines on the Western Front.

The rest of the concert was the usual eclectic Loosely Woven mix ranging from 'The Holy City' to 'Da Doo Ron Ron', from Rogers & Hart's classic 'Blue Moon' to Buddy Holly's 'Rave On'!

There were three performances in Humph Hall (see below) as well as numerous others elsewhere in Sydney (see the 'Balance' web site for details.)

* The Friday 17th December performance in Humph Hall was a special event organised by Sailability to raise funds for Alyse Saxby and Bob Hamilton (her support) to attend the 2011 Athens Special Olympics. All attendees were asked to make a minimum donation of $25. The other two performances at Humph Hall were, as usual, be free.
