Formed in the Sydney suburb of Manly in 2010, the Acacia Ensemble brings together four musicians who have acquired a wealth of professional experience across several continents.

Furnished with a repertoire that primarily focuses on the Classical and Romantic periods, the ensemble is able to produce music of the highest quality, whatever the occasion.

For their first appearance at Humph Hall, the Acacia Ensemble put together a program of pieces composed by well known composers when they were still very young.

  • Lodi Quartet (Mozart, aged 14)
  • Opus 13 (Mendelssohn, aged 16)
  • Two Movements for String Quartet (Rachmaninov, aged 18)
